Tarek Dammad, MD

Medical Director of Interventional Pulmonology

Tarek Dammad, MD is a graduate of University of Aleppo, Medical School. He completed Internal Medicine residency at Saint Louis University Hospital and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Louisville.

He went on to be formally trained and mentored by world-renowned Interventional Pulmonologist; Dr. Jose Pablo Diaz-Jimenez, MD, PhD.  Soon after, he became Board Certified in Interventional Pulmonology through the American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP).
 
Before arriving to Orlando Florida, Dr. Dammad established the first Interventional Pulmonology program in the state of New Mexico at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Medical Center in Santa Fe and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM.

He also served as the President of Medical Staff, a member of the Board of Directors and later the President of the Medical Group at CHRISTUS St. Vincent in Santa Fe, NM. He played an essential role with his colleagues in transforming CHRISTUS St. Vincent to a very high quality Medical Center. In addition, he taught the art and science of Interventional Pulmonology to the University of New Mexico pulmonary fellows.
 
Now as part of Central Florida Pulmonary Group, he serves as the Medical Director of Interventional Pulmonology at AdventHealth Central Florida Division. His goal is to lead and implement a high-quality, collaborative, patient-centered Interventional Pulmonology Program that meets the needs of Central Florida patients and communities.
 
Dr. Dammad lives in Orlando Florida with his wife and two children. His passion remains the teaching of pulmonary interventions to trainees.
